Description
There are lots of lovely legends associated with the North Yorkshire Moors. This one concerns a legendary stone that young maidens of yore used to stand on to wish for a handsome husband. Called the 'Wishing Stone', it's exact location has now been forgotten but on our walk through East Arncliffe woods,near Danby - this looked like it fitted the legend.
