This is another old tree full of character. He lives in Otley Chevin a renowned beauty spot in the old West Riding of Yorkshire. Although this beech was a great age and showing signs of deterioration, he still gave the impression of being able to make once last effort to make one last effort and rise to his former glory towering over all these young upstarts. Fanciful I know, but trees are sentient beings so who knows.....
