Woldgate has been made world famous by David Hockney RA. in his 'Bigger Picture' exhibition in 2012. I am very fortunate to live just a mile away from this ancient wooded Roman Road. This is the view from the track to Boynton Hall with Woldgate cutting across it. On the far side is an old 'Wake' walk. This was painted in mid February after prolonged heavy rain.
