Artist's Description
I suppose this painting contains every element of a spring day in the Yorkshire Wolds. We have the big sky of course with the rolling Wolds in the distance. The hedges are awash with life and the hawthorn festooned with its spring blossom. And sheltering under the hawthorn – we find two iconic bales to complete the picture. This is a green road just off the Driffield to Langtoft road and a very pleasant stroll indeed up to the site of an old wartime airfield.
