Artist's Description

This is our drive home to Kilham, and we get some lovely sunsets. It is an attempt to portray the light when the sun has just dipped below the horizon, making its final farewell to the day. Although the ambient light is dark, there is still some colour remaining.
I have painted it on 300lb paper which is more than twice my usual weight. I do not understand the technicalities, but it feels like cardboard. I acquired it from an interesting source, but that is a story for another day. I have used it before and know it absorbs a lot of moisture and paint. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it was ideal for this painting as I could put plenty of layers on to get the effect I was looking for.

Since then I have had the good fortune to exhibit in many prestigious galleries and shows, selling paintings all over the world. I am also a Professional Associate Tutor of the Society of All Artists and...
