Artist's Description

All dressed up and somewhere to go……and then it started to rain. Shame but there was not much point in heading for the moors on such a damp and dreary day. So I painted this instead. It is based on the work of John Atkinson Grimshaw of course and has all the essential ‘Grimshaw’ ingredients – moonlit sky, grand mansion with lighted windows, wet roads and of course the enigmatic lady walking away from the viewer. It seemed a very appropriate painting for the day as I watched the rain pouring down outside all afternoon while I worked away. Turned out all right I think and definitely very wet.

Since then I have had the good fortune to exhibit in many prestigious galleries and shows, selling paintings all over the world. I am also a Professional Associate Tutor of the Society of All Artists and...
