This is the first painting done in my new studio here at Kilham. I have to confess to a slight feeling of trepidation as it has been seven weeks since I picked up a brush. But I need not have worried. Its like riding a bike. Once you have learned you never forget. I did though choose a subject I could just mess around with and enjoyed a happy couple of hours reconnecting with my brushes and palette. I enjoyed it and the studio facilities are perfect so I look forward to many more proper paintings to come.
LIGHT.......inspires me LEGEND.......intrigues me LANDSCAPE inspires me! I have letters after my name...F.O.L....but it is not 'Fellow of..' but 'Fell Off'...a ladder! While waiting for operations on my knees I took up painting to pass the time. Like so many other people I soon became hooked and embarked on a fascinating journey to learn how to improve and develop my style..a journey that never ends...but what a trip!
