This is a tribute to my first inspirational artist - Ashley Jackson. It was derelict when he painted it but I took it back a bit and made it inhabited again. The hard working hill farmers are safe and snug in front of a roaring fire after their arduous day. They are a disappearing breed unfortunately and their unique way of life is fast fading.

While waiting for operations on my knees I took up painting to pass the time.
