Hawnby is a small, picturesque village on the the western edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. When I first came across this old cottage, it was sadly neglected and in need of repair. For my painting I restored it to life and glad to say - life imitated art! Now after lots of TLC it is alive and lived in once again.
LIGHT.......inspires me LEGEND.......intrigues me LANDSCAPE inspires me! I have letters after my name...F.O.L....but it is not 'Fellow of..' but 'Fell Off'...a ladder! While waiting for operations on my knees I took up painting to pass the time. Like so many other people I soon became hooked and embarked on a fascinating journey to learn how to improve and develop my style..a journey that never ends...but what a trip! I took the plunge in 2003 and with the support of my lovely wife I began to paint full time. Since then I have had the good fortune to exhibit in many prestigious galleries and shows, selling paintings all over the world.
