Artist's Description

This was the last painting I did for the exhibition. Dane’s Dyke is just over a mile from where I live. After a pleasant walk along the cliff edge you are rewarded with this ancient site and its old trees. When the dyke was originally built there would be no trees of course – all removed so that attackers could not use them as cover. Now however, they are a joy to behold…..and paint!
