Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

‘Standing in the Shadows’ is a follow on from my last painting which featured the North York Moors. In it the cottage was a small detail there to enhance the feeling of the vast space of the moors. So for this one I decided to get closer to the cottage and make it the focal point of the painting. The painting is a mix of bits from older works and unused sketches in a deliberate attempt to evoke the nostalgia prevalent in paintings of rural life by the great Victorian watercolourists of whom I have long been a fan. It’s also a mix of techniques so there are loose washes, some masking fluid, a bit of paint spattering as well as lots of fine detail. I used my usual six colours but added highlights of raw sienna to emphasise the light. Here we have it then – the classic rural idyll with wife and baby enjoying the cool evening shadows as they wait for the return of the hard working husband

LIGHT.......inspires me LEGEND.......intrigues me LANDSCAPE inspires me! I have letters after my name...F.O.L....but it is not 'Fellow of..' but 'Fell Off'...a ladder! While waiting for operations on my knees I took up painting to pass the time. Like so many other people I soon became hooked and embarked on a fascinating journey to learn how to improve and develop my style..a journey that never ends...but what a trip! I took the plunge in 2003 and with the support of my lovely wife I began to paint full time. Since then I have had the good fortune to exhibit in many prestigious galleries and shows, selling paintings all over the world. I am also a Professional Associate Tutor of the Society of All Artists and...
