I thought it was time to paint a winter scene – a lot of my artist friends have already done so. This is a familiar composition with the isolated cottage standing firm against the elements. I thought that giving it a moonlight setting would add to the effect. I painted it quickly wet on wet allowing the magic of watercolour to produce the beautiful colour blends. An extremely limited palette adds to the overall harmony.
LIGHT.......inspires me LEGEND.......intrigues me LANDSCAPE inspires me! I have letters after my name...F.O.L....but it is not 'Fellow of..' but 'Fell Off'...a ladder! While waiting for operations on my knees I took up painting to pass the time.
