Bridlington Priory is celebrating its 900th anniversary this year. To celebrate this achievement many events have been planned, This painting was commissioned as part of an auction to raise funds to help it keep going for another 900 years. I painted it in the style of John Atkinson Grimshaw. It is based on a black and white print dated about the turn of the 20th century. The buildings on the right of Kirkgate have since been demolished.
