This iPad painting was inspired by an old black and white photograph that Merice came across on Facebook. It was by Charles Hewitt and taken in 1952. I was attracted by the light in the photo and thought it an ideal subject for painting.
LIGHT.......inspires me LEGEND.......intrigues me LANDSCAPE inspires me! I have letters after my name...F.O.L....but it is not 'Fellow of..' but 'Fell Off'...a ladder! While waiting for operations on my knees I took up painting to pass the time. Like so many other people I soon became hooked and embarked on a fascinating journey to learn how to improve and develop my style..a journey that never ends...but what a trip!
