Artist's Description

I painted this several years ago during one of my stints as artist in residence at Burton Agnes Hall. For a change I wandered out of the grounds of the Hall to look for something different. This is the ‘Field of Hope’ planted by the MacMillan Cancer Charity. I had a great vantage point from a convenient bench which brought me down to the eye level of the daffodils themselves. A symbol of hope the ‘daffies’ are also a symbol of Spring.
