This is another attempt at an 'old fashioned' painting. Partly inspired by a recent walk in Cropton Woods and the work of John Atkinson Grimshaw, the idea was to try and capture nature in all it's glorious complexity.

While waiting for operations on my knees I took up painting to pass the time. Like so many other people I soon became hooked and embarked on a fascinating journey to learn how to improve and develop my style..a journey that never ends...but what a trip! I took the plunge in 2003 and with the support of my lovely wife I began to paint full time.
