This painting sort of took on a life of its own. The actual building is now derelict and situated in the remote high fells of the North Pennines. I brought the building back to life and gave it this lovely evening light. The light shining above the door reminded me of the classic scene from "Wuthering Heights" where Heathcliffe waits for his lost love.
