Artist's Description
This was an unusual view across the bay towards Barmston. I had taken a group of students up Woldgate in the footsteps of David Hockney. But we left the road and wandered up a farm track. I loved the cool clouds contrasting with the warm partially harvested barley field. I sketched it on site but painted it back home in my studio.
